Heather relocated to Hood River in 1994 after earning her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Building on a love for aviation that began at age 15, she then continued her training, earning her pilot’s license in 1995. Her work as a full-time ski patroller during the winter seasons inspired her to seek a career in fire and rescue. After working as a firefighter and paramedic for 23 years, Heather retired. She now enjoys spending time as a full-time mom to her two teenage boys. In July 2021, Heather was elected to the Port of Hood River Board of Commissioners and is currently serving her second four-year term. In her role, she was also appointed to the Port of Hood River Foundation Board, where she is passionate about supporting projects that enhance waterfront access, safety, and beautification for the community.
